Pratt man dies in Stafford County motorcycle crash

Kansas Highway Patrol identified a Pratt man, Larry Ryan 25, in a fatal motorcycle crash which occurred on Sunday evening at approximately 7:34 p.m. in Stafford County.

KHP’s online crash log reveals that Ryan was driving a 2012 Honda northbound on SE 80th Ave. when he attempted to avoid a deer that entered the roadway from the right side of the road. Ryan lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway, and finally came to rest in the east ditch. He was not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the crash, only eye protection.

There were no other vehicles involved and he had no passengers onboard at the time of the crash.
