Great Bend Fire/EMS

A power pole was arcing or on fire at 5:57 p.m. Monday near Holland St. and Lakin Ave. There was a trash fire in the 100 block of Main Street at 5:27 p.m. Firefighters also made a service call to check out a faulty appliance.

Emergency Medical Service made two ambulance runs.

Barton County Sheriff

A theft was reported Monday at Lang Diesel Inc., 15 SE 90 Ave., Ellinwood.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:11 p.m. Monday at 278 South U.S. 281, Great Bend.

Great Bend Police

A domestic battery was reported at 12:01 a.m. Monday at 5806 Rosewood Dr. A suspect was arrested in lieu of bond. A few minutes later there was a disturbance outside as subjects involved in the incident were arguing in the street.

Theft of a car part was reported at 1407 Hoover St.

Theft of a light bar was reported in the 1800 block of Washington Ave.

Police received a report of a dog in a vehicle at 3:35 p.m. at Walmart. The owner was contacted.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:15 p.m. Monday at 9th and Kansas.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 1700 Hubbard St.

A domestic battery was reported at 12:56 a.m. Tuesday at 1614 1/2 Lakin Ave. The suspect left the scene but was located in the 1400 block of 16th St. at 2:39 a.m. and arrested.
