Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made eight ambulance runs on Monday and five on Tuesday. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:31 a.m. Tuesday at SW 60 Road and SW 100 Ave.

A fraud case was taken at 500 Cunnife Ave., Pawnee Rock.


Great Bend Police

On Tuesday, a subject reported theft of payments made for a house under contract.

A disabled vehicle in the roadway at 24th St. and NW K-96 was moved at 12:06 p.m.

Theft of motor fuel was reported at 3:05 p.m. at Great Bend Ampride, 2302 10th St.

A burglary case was taken after a check was reportedly stolen from a residence at 5501 9th St. Lot 48.

Two vehicles backing from parking stalls at Walmart collided at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries were reported.

An injury crash was reported at 7:02 p.m. A vehicle driven by Samantha Brown was northbound on Stone Street and struck a vehicle driven by John Schmidt, which was westbound on Broadway Ave.

At 11:59 p.m., is subject reported a tree blowing over and knocking down a power pole in the 3800 block of Forest Ave.

A domestic battery was reported at 1:57 a.m. Wednesday at 2106 McKinley St. A male was arrested and booked in lieu of bond.
