The Great Bend Police Department is investigating several cases of criminal damage to property reported overnight Wednesday.

Someone shot the front door of a residence at 2006 Jackson St. with a BB gun. Police received a report of shots fired at 11:11 p.m.

At 12:34 a.m. Thursday, it was reported that someone had shot a window on the residence at 2906 17th St. with a BB gun.

At 3:32 a.m., window damage was reported on a 2014 Chevrolet Impala at 1417 McKinley St.

At 7:25 a.m., police received a report of another vehicle with a damaged window, at 1200 9th St.

Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made four ambulance runs Wednesday. Firefighters responded to a gas leak in the alley behind 2714 Forest Ave. at 1:11 p.m.


Barton County Sheriff 

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:39 a.m. Wednesday at 245 NE 30 Road.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:18 p.m. at Scott’s Welding Service, 288 SW 2 Road A, Great Bend. Criminal damage to property was also reported at that address.


Great Bend Police

Theft of money was reported early Wednesday at the Holiday Apartments, 5210 10th St.

Counterfeit money was discovered at Burger King, 3929 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:05 p.m. at Travelers Budget Inn, 4200 10th St.

A Great Bend resident reported debit card numbers were used out-of-state.
