Great Bend Fire/EMS

EMS made four ambulance runs on Friday, eight ambulance runs on Saturday, and 10 ambulance runs on Sunday.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 10th Street Liquor Shop, 5208 10 St., at 12:27 p.m. on Friday.

An injury crash was reported at 24th St. and Harrison St. at 2:19 p.m. on Friday. One adult driver complained that her head and left arm were hurt. The patient was transported to the University of Kansas Health Systems, Great Bend Campus for treatment.

A narcotics violation was reported at 11th St. and Heizer St. at 5:06 p.m. on Friday. Officers assisted BTSO on a traffic stop.

A battery was reported at 2525 Russell Pkwy. at 10:47 p.m. on Friday. Case taken.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10th Street and Main St. at 1:03 p.m. on Saturday.

A power line down was reported at 2709 Quivira Ave. at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday. Wheatland responded.

A traffic arrest was made at The Reserves at Trail Ridge, 811 Grant St., at 11:02 p.m. on Saturday. Matthew Cooley was arrested for driving while suspended. Case taken.

Police assisted the Barton County Sheriff Office by sending the K9 unit to Crestview Dr. and E. 6th St., Hoisington, at 3:32 p.m. on Sunday. 

An injury crash was reported at 12th St. and Morphy St., at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. The crash report is pending signature release by the Great Bend Police department; thus, details concerning the injury status of the driver or driver(s) involved in the crash are not known at this time.

A non-injury crash was reported at Casey’s General Store, 2716 10th St. at 7:04 p.m. on Sunday.


Barton County Sheriff 

A narcotics violation was reported at 11th St. and Heizer St., Great Bend, at 5:06 p.m. on Saturday.

A narcotics violation was reported at East U.S. 56 and mile marker 215, Ellinwood, at 11:31 a.m. on Sunday.

A narcotics violation was reported following a traffic stop at Crestview Dr. and E. 6th St., Hoisington, at 3:02 p.m. on Sunday.
