A Salina man was injured in an accident at 7:35 a.m. Monday on Interstate 70 in Ellis county, 1.5 miles west of Gorham. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, David T. Shaw, 30, was driving east when the vehicle, a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, went off the right side of the road and struck a guard rail, then came back across to the left shoulder and struck a bridge rail. The vehicle spun around and came to a stop on the left shoulder.
Shaw was taken to Hays Medical Center in Hays with undetermined injuries. He had been wearing a seat belt.
The car was removed by B & C Auto.
