The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports there was a brief pursuit shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday in the area of NW 20 Ave. and  NW 20 Road.
Undersheriff Bruce Green said an officer thought he saw a male who had walked out of the Barton County Courthouse on Monday before a judge had completed his hearing on a protective order. Other officers joined the hunt but lost right of the suspect near the Mullergren power plant on K-96, east of Heizer.
