Three arrested on multiple charges after Tuesday search

The Great Bend Police Department arrested three women Tuesday morning on multiple charges after a search warrant executed at a Great Bend apartment complex netted illegal narcotics. There were also children present.

According to the GBPD, at approximately 9:12 a.m. Tuesday, GBPD officers executed a narcotics search warrant at The Reserves at Trail Ridge Apartments, 811 Grant St., as part of an ongoing drug investigation.  

During a search of the apartment, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana and items of illegal drug paraphernalia inside the residence, along with two young children. Morgan J. Krankenberg, 21, Nikalem Helms, 22, and Aislynn McKay, 23, were all arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. McKay was also charged with child endangerment. McKay was released Wednesday in lieu of a $3,500 bond on all charges.

All three women were transported to the Barton County Detention Center and booked in lieu of bond. The two minor children were taken into custody with the assistance of Juvenile Services.
