COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Louis J. Kaiser passed away, at his home, at the age of 86 on May 3, 2016. in Colorado Springs. Colo. with his wife Elaine Kaiser, and daughter Gina Kaiser by his side. Louis was born March 24, in Hoisington, to Joseph and Mary (Meyers) Kaiser. After marrying Elaine in 1955, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colo. on their honeymoon, and one year later moved to Colorado. In 1965, they adopted their only child, Gina. Louis worked for the El Paso County Highway Department and retired after 37 years of service.
Louis was a generous, humorous, dedicated man who loved gardening, anything with John Deere on it and completing jigsaw puzzles. He always had a smile on his face, never angered or raised his voice. He was a gentle giant.
Louis is survived by his wife Elaine of 61 years; daughter, Gina; twin sister Lucille Beck; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leo, Robert, Don and Richard; one brother-in-law Art Beck; and one sister-in-law Teresa Kaiser.
A celebration of life open house is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, at Panino’s Restaurant on 8th Street in Colorado Springs, Colo. It is hoped that friends will join his family on this day to remember this unique and remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pikes Peak Hospice.
