Peter Allen Westerman, 35, passed away April 27, 2022, at the University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus. He was born April 9, 1987, at Topeka, to Donald Lynn Westerman and Katharine Piper. 

Growing up in Topeka, Peter was a current Great Bend resident and graduate of Great Bend High School. He was a cook at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. Peter like animals, especially reptiles and liked to go camping and was an avid gun enthusiast. Peter especially loved spending time with his children and family.  

Survivors include, his mother, Katharine Piper of Great Bend; Crystal Westerman of the home; a son, Kristopher Westerman of Great Bend; three daughters, Heidi Westerman, Winter Westerman and Piper; and a brother, Thomas Westerman and wife Tara of Great Bend. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lynn Westerman. 

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend William F. Johnson Johnson presiding. He will receive recognition from the Sons of the American Legion. Memorials have been designated to the American Legion Argonne Post #180, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
