Pratt sweeps Larned baseball

LARNED — Central Kansas League baseball champion Pratt shut down Larned 7-1 and 15-1 in Tuesday's doubleheader.

Pratt (20-4, 16-0 CKL) drops Larned (10-13, 5-10 CKL) into next week's projected McPherson 4A baseball regional against Augusta (14-8).

PRATT 7, LARNED 1 (G1) — Pratt's trio of pitchers limited Larned to four hits with seven strikeouts. Larned's Conner Spreier scored on Cooper Herbert's third-inning groundout.

Pratt's Cresten Pore singled home Caleb Strong and Josiah Schmidt.

PRATT 15, LARNED 1 (G2) — Pratt's trio of pitchers struck out eight batters. Larned's Hunter Hobbs scored on a fourth-inning error.

Pratt's Matt Thimesch drove home five runs with a pair of 2-run singles. Pore drove in three runs.
