 The new Holiday Inn Express at 3821 10th St. in Great Bend is open for business. It officials started taking guests this past Tuesday.

There will be an official grand opening for the facility on Thursday, March 17. A ribbon cutting will take place around noon and a public open house will take place from 5-7 p.m.

The motel features a 24-hour business center, board room and 900 square foot conference room for small meetings and gatherings There is an indoor pool and hot tub, 24-hour fitness center and free hot breakfast. There is free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus microwaves, minifridges, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Suites add sofabeds. There are 78 rooms, 18 of which are suites, on four floors. 

The general manager is Cameron Caine and the assistant general manager is Janna Applebee. The property is managed by Noble Hospitality of Manhattan, Colin Noble president.
