Not only is Chris Brunner new to Office Products Inc. (OPI), so are some of the services he provides.
Brunner’s offerings include repairing iPhones and Androids, along with all makes of tablets. This is a first at OPI.
“I have been here a little while helping get this new venture started,” said Brunner, a Great Bend resident. “This is just another added feature to OPI’s long list of services.”
Two of the more common cell phone repairs involve cracked screens and water damage.
“But we can fix pretty much anything that could go wrong,” Brunner said. “Benefits to the customer include competitive prices and a quick turnaround – usually the same day.
“In addition,” he continued, “OPI’s clientele support a local, family-owned business. I had been hearing good things about OPI’s owners and the staff. I had been hearing right.”
Customers should feel free to stop in at OPI anytime with their small devices, which will be repaired on-site.
“The best part of this is seeing the look of relief on a customer’s face after a phone or tablet is repaired,” Brunner commented. “Many of us depend on these devices in our personal and professional lives, and it is extremely frustrating when there is a problem. We will find the answer.”
He noted that water-damage repair might be a little more time-consuming than other jobs.
Even though Brunner is the phone-and-tablet guy at OPI, he brings experience in other areas of technology to his new position. His background includes computer networking and computer-repair positions at other companies.
“I have always had an interest in technology,” Brunner said. “And I am eager to share what I have learned with OPI customers.”
A 2007 graduate of Abilene High School, Brunner is currently enrolled in Regent University, working toward an associate’s degree in computer science. He also has a certificate in computer networking through Honeywell.
Willie Spires, service manager, said OPI “had been kicking around the idea of phone and tablet repair for a little while. This is a good market that will be around for a long time.
“Chris is instrumental in this new part of our service department,” Spires added. “He brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the job and is a great addition to the staff.”
OPI is located at 1204 Main in Great Bend, 516 Broadway in Larned and 724 N. Main in Russell.
