Larry and Lorrie Ruble elebrated their 25th anniversary on Nov. 5 with a reception hosted by Jim and Millie Meroney and a trip on Nov. 14 to Las Vegas, Nev. with friends.
On Nov. 15, 1986, Larry Michael Ruble and Lorrie Anne Meroney were united in marriage at Central Baptist Church in Great Bend. The couple met at a coed softball game in the summer of 1984 and were married in 1986. Larry is the son of Larry R. Ruble and Vickie A. Ruble of Great Bend. Lorrie is the daughter of Jim and Millie Meroney of Great Bend. Lorrie attended one year of college at the University of Wyoming and was then accepted into Bel-Rea Animal Technology School in Denver, Colo. in 1982. She came to Great Bend after graduation for a job as a Certified Veterinary Technician and was employed with Dr. Mike Malone in June of 1984, where she is still employed. Larry is a lifelong resident of Great Bend and graduated from Great Bend High School in 1982. He attended one year of college at Hutchinson Community College on a football scholarship. He returned to Great Bend where he is employed by Great Bend Industries as a C&C Programmer. On Dec. 3, 1991 their first and only son was born, Cody James Ruble.
