Esther Koochel will celebrate her 100th birthday on Sept. 19, with a card shower.
Esther (Lorenz) Koochel was born on Sept. 19, 1914, in Timken. On Sept. 22, 1938, she married Lester Koochel. He passed away on Oct. 11, 1990. She has two daughters, Nancy (Del) Leimer of Perryton, Texas and Janice (Mark) Castle of Great Bend; five grandchildren, Diane Castle, Van Leimer, Dedra Castle, Cristin Leimer and Joel (April) Leimer; and two great-grandsons, Matthew Castle and Nathan Roraback.
