Henrietta Bartonek of Otis will celebrate her 90th birthday with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 1, at the Otis-Bison Elementary School in Otis.
Henrietta Bartonek was born on Sept. 21, 1925, at her family homestead near Olmitz. She was married to Kenneth Bartonek. He died on Aug. 13, 1977. She is retired as a senior companion after 20 years. She has a daughter, Doris Straub of Otis; three granddaughters, Melissa Swift of Wilmington, Mass, Tami Christiansen of Owasso, Okla. and Sharnelle Hermann of Great Bend; and eight grandchildren, Chandler, Kendra, Gage, Courtney, Aiden, Hunter, Braydon and Makenze.
