Ruth Chilcott will celebrate her 80th birthday on Nov. 4, with a card shower.
Ruth Chilcott was born on Nov. 4, 1934 in Big Sandy Community in Woodson County. She grew up in Toronto. Her husband John W. (Bill) Chilcott died in February 1997. Ruth was an elementary school teacher for USD 428 before her retirement in 1995. She has three children, Beth Ann Chilcott of Wichita, Brenda and Jason raven of Hays and Patsy and Stan Arnold of Grand Island, Neb.; three grandchildren, Tyler Arnold of Grand Island, Neb., Michael Raven of London, England, and Elle and Cameron Supencheck of Omaha, Neb.; and a great-granddaughter, Memphis Arnold of Grand Island, Neb.
