Young children can meet the new lion at Great Bend’s Brit Spaugh Zoo from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. today at the zoo. This program is sponsored by the Great Bend Recreation Commission for children 3-5 years old, who must be accompanied by an adult. Zoo Education Coordinator Amber Koch will show the lion cub, at GBRC’s Cindy Warner will help kids make a craft to remember their trip. Cost is $7.
