A Rozel woman was injured Monday after the car she was driving went off a Pawnee County road, two miles south of Rozel on 280th Road.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 10:10 a.m., just south of Mary Road. Carol J. Patterson, 77, was southbound in a Chevrolet Impala when, for unknown reason, the car traveled left of center into the east ditch. It struck the embankment, causing the vehicle to roll one and a half times, coming to rest on its top.
Patterson was taken to Pawnee Valley Community Hospital and later flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A Wesley spokesman said Patterson was in fair condition Tuesday afternoon.
She was wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident.
