Ticket sales start Monday for Habitat for Humanity’s "Barton County’s Got Talent" dinner theater on Saturday, Jan. 21. The non-profit organization has hopes for selling out the Grace Community Church sanctuary and raising at least $10,000 through a combination of ticket sales, sponsorships from local businesses, and freewill donations at the event.
The program is a spin-off of the network television show "America’s Got Talent" and features a variety of local performers, all competing for the title of Barton County’s Got Talent Champion.
Two types of tickets are on sale for the event. Individuals and couples can come between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. and enjoy a homemade meal prior to the start of the show for $25 per person. For those who just want to get in on the competition at 7 p.m., tickets are available for $15.
Tickets are available at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, or contact event organizer Rachel Mawhirter, 620-786-4896, or e-mail habitatbartoncounty@hotmail.com.
