The Barton County Sheriff’s Department assisted in a car chase from Rush County on Saturday, March 22.
The black Ford Mustang was headed toward Great Bend on K-96 at 1:29 p.m. BCSO officers set out stop sticks at NW 70 Ave. and K-96, and flattened two tires on the vehicle. When the pursuit ended, a wrecker and animal control officer were summoned.
Jack C. Mitchell of Lawrence was booked into the Barton County Jail on a Rush County case for felony flee and elude and obstruction, with bond set at $10,000.
