The Board of Trustees for Barton Community College will travel to Grandview Plaza for a tour of Barton programs before holding its monthly study session at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, at the Courtyard Marriott, Milford Room in Junction City. Monday’s discussion topics include the September financial statement, proposed wording for the Fairness in Women’s Sports policy, information on military and civilian training initiatives and Army education services, and a draft of the 2023 Community Report for review.

Tuesday, Oct. 10, will include tours and meeting Fort Riley officials before returning to Great Bend. The schedule includes Marshall Army Airfield tour at 8:30 a.m., meeting garrison commanders and staff; Transition Assistance Program (TAP)/Education Services facility tour at 10:15 a.m.; military schools overview and tour at 12:45 p.m. and depart for Great Bend at 1:30 p.m.
