A Hays man died in a one-vehicle crash discovered early Sunday in Rush County, the Kansas Highway Patrol reports. Darin Alan Stiles, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact time of the crash was unknown.
KHP reports Stiles was westbound on K-4, approximately 6.5 miles east of La Crosse, when the 2002 Toyota Tacoma he was driving hit the gravel shoulder on the north side of the road. Stiles over-corrected and the vehicle entered the south ditch, overturned in the field, and ended up on the passenger side facing north. Stiles was ejected.
Highway Patrol reports he was not wearing a seat belt.
