The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash at 8:27 a.m. on Tuesday, 1.5 miles west of U.S. 281 on I-70.
According to reports, a 2015 Honda passenger car driven by Linda Maria Duran, 46, Peyton, Colo., was eastbound on I-70. For unknown reasons, the car crossed the median and struck a 2017 Honda passenger car head-on that was westbound on I-70 which was driven by Steve Colton Stephens, 26, of Westminster, Colo.
Duran died due to injuries from the crash. Colton and his passenger, Hannah Stephens, 25, of Westminster Colo., were not injured. All three people were wearing seat belts.
