Great Bend man convicted of aggravated battery
scales-of-justice

A Great Bend man was convicted of aggravated battery last Wednesday in Barton County District Court, Barton County Attorney Amy Mellor said.

The conviction of Jose Saul Torres Jr. followed his plea stemming from a Jan. 12 incident in which a woman’s jaw was broken.

Sentencing is set for Feb. 23, 2018.

The Great Bend Police Department investigated the case. Mellor served as prosecutor.
