Firefighters respond to a structure fire at 20 SE 40 Ave., late Tuesday morning. Upon arrival responders saw smoke coming from the residence. There was structural damage and damage to the living-room area. No one was hurt in the fire. The cause is still under investigation by the Great Bend Fire Department and the Kansas Fire Marshal. The GBFD was assisted by the Ellinwood Fire Department and the Barton County Sheriff’s Office.
