holiday table event

LARNED – Need ideas on how to decorate that table this festive season? Look no further that the Larned Garden Club’s Holiday Tablescapes event.
The fundraiser runs from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Presbyterian Church, 1004 W. Eighth. Tickets are $5 in advance, and are available at the banks in Larned and at the Larned Chamber of Commerce Office. Tickets will be $6 at the door.
There will be 17 tables with holiday decor, said club member Nancy Adams. There will also be refreshments included.
Money raised will help the club maintain the planters in downtown Larned and the gardens along the highway.
Adams said this activity replaces the club’s annual Christmas House Walk, which had been around for about 40 years. They dropped the walk because it was becoming more difficult to find homeowners willing to open their homes to visitors.
