Rozel holiday event
set Friday, Saturday

ROZEL — Rozel will ring in the holidays with an open house scheduled Friday and Saturday at the Rozel Community Center and Rozel City Building.
Vendors will sell their holiday-related items from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Sweet Traditions will serve a dinner Friday evening.

LSH plant, craft sale
scheduled for Friday

LARNED — The horticulture therapy workshop at the Larned State Hospital has scheduled a plant and craft from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the LSH Greenhouse.
Featured items include fall and holiday crafts, wreaths, ornaments and foliage plants. Payments must be with cash or checks. Cell phones are not allowed in the greenhouse area.

LMS students will help

LARNED — Larned Middle School will continue a community service project Monday.
Any elderly or disabled citizen needing help removing leaves and brush can call the LMS office, 620-285-8430 and schedule an appointment time.
 
Alpha Gamma Master meets

LARNED — Rosie Rein welcomed members of the Alpha Gamma Master sorority to her home on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
A welcome and transfer ritual was held for Carol Crockett from Theta Beta Chapter and was presented with the traditional yellow rose.
The Beta Book drill was on the Award of Distinction conferred to members on outstanding performance in Beta Sigma Phi.
Standing committee reports were given by Alice Clapsaddle, membership; Rosie Rein, social, “Out to the Movies,” State Theater on Saturday, Nov. 15; Margaret Larson, program, next meeting at the Reidener Inn at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8; Wadonna King, courtesy, a card to new grandparents Phil and Carol Jacob of Ottawa; and Janet Skelton, service “Bears to Preschool.”
The program was presented by Janet Skelton on “Age — different meanings for different people.”
Rein served refreshments around a harvest table. The social hour was enjoyed by everyone. The next meeting will be a Christmas luncheon, party and gift exchange on Dec. 8.
