New city HR director introduced

 The City of Great Bend has a new human resources director, Interim City Administrator George Kolb announced to the City Council Monday night. Hired was Randy Keasling.

“He comes to us with 17 years of human resources experience,” Kolb said. He also has experience in other related fields as well.

Keasling is a Hutchinson resident. His previous position was with The Cedars, a retirement facility in McPherson.

Kolb said Keasling will answer to the city administrator. Funding for salary was allotted for in the city budget.

“I am excited to get started,” Keasling said. As he introduced himself, he was welcomed by council members. 

The city has been without a full-time HR director since Terry Hoff retired in November 2015.
