Intruder dumps gas in house

An unknown person is suspected of breaking into a Great Bend home and splashing gasoline inside the residence last Friday.
Lt. William Browne confirmed Monday that the Great Bend Police Department is investigating an attempted aggravated burglary/attempted aggravated arson reported at 4:50 a.m. Friday at 3807 12th St. The gasoline was not lit, he said.
Great Bend Fire Department was called at 5:16 a.m. Chief Mike Napolitano said, “We shut off the electricity and gas and eliminated any source of ignition, then ventilated the house.”
