Panther Jazz members extend invitation for Journey on Oct. 4

Join the Great Bend High School Panther Jazz Band at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a sentimental music journey. The performance will be the high school auditorium.
Starting off the concert will be a long-time favorite, “Old Time Rock and Roll,” followed by a jazz classic, “Sentimental Journey.” Other classics include “It Don’t Mean a Thing (When You Ain’t Got That Swing),” and “When I Fall in Love.” Contemporary tried-and-true tunes include “Blue Bossa,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tiger of San Pedro,” “God Bless the USA” and “Jazzman.”
Soloists for the evening include Hannah Mosier, Spencer Keil, Mason Roach, Taylor Lampe, Luke Abbott, Elena Lewis, Melanie Maneth, Addison Baxter and Emerson Campbell.
Directors are Mark DeWald and Isaac Enochs, assisted by Kurtis Koch. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend a fun-filled evening.
