Piano students qualify for state competition

Great Bend High School students Amy To, sophomore, and Allen To, a senior, competed in the piano category at the Kansas Music Teachers Association’s District 5 Auditions on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Barton Community College. They both qualified to compete at the State KMTA Auditions in Lawrence on October 27.

 The District 5 piano auditions were adjudicated by Brett Janssen, Central Christian College, McPherson. Allen and Amy study piano with Becky Dudrey, Great Bend. KMTA is a statewide organization of private music instructors.
