Shafer Art Gallery calling on photographers for juried exhibit

Barton Community College’s Shafer Art Gallery will host a juried art show titled “Exposure Time 3” in January and is encouraging photographers to enter. Awards of $100 will be given to winners in three categories and there will be one $200 “Juror’s Award.” There is no entry fee. A total of three works can be submitted. The deadline to enter is Jan. 8.
The awards reception will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, and will include a gallery talk from juror Fred Lassman of Augusta with FJ Lassman Photography. For more information on the juror go to fjlassmannphotography.com.
The three categories will be portraiture, illustrative (landscape and other) and electronic imaging (digital collage, etc.)
The show is open to U.S. residents, 18 years or older. All work must be original. The gallery director reserves the right to exclude any image that seem well below professional standards or contains imagery that is prurient or pornographic in nature.
