Sixth grade band members present concert Monday

Months of hard work will culminate Monday night at 7 p.m. as approximately 119 students of the Great Bend sixth grade band join forces for their annual concert at Great Bend High School gym. Schools represented include Eisenhower, Jefferson, Lincoln, Park, Riley, Holy Family and Central Kansas Christian Academy.
Selections will be: “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “Old MacDonald Had a Band,” “Ode to Joy (from Symphony No. 9),” “Hard Rock Blues,” “School Spirit (On Wisconsin),” “Pirates Cove,” “Argonauts,” “Two Bridges March,” and “Quest of the Black Knight.”
Directors are: JoAnn Suchy, Holy Family; Debbie Koch, Central Kansas Christian Academy; Austin Russell, Eisenhower, Lincoln and Park; and Mark DeWald, Jefferson, Riley.
The concert is free and open to the public.
