The Great Bend’s Farmer’s Market Summer Street Stroll started this week in Jack Kilby Square. It will be open from 4-7 p.m. every Thursday on the south side of the square at the corner of Lakin and Kansas Avenues. This open-air market will run until October, weather and produce permitting, offering fresh veggies, fruits, jellies, jams, and various homemade items.

The Barton County Health Department will begin accepting applications for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program on June 3. Seniors aged 60 and up can stop by the health department to fill out an application.
