Teen lockdown registrations due Monday

Summer programs for teens continue at the Great Bend Public Library. Young Adult Librarian Jennifer King announced the follow activities and events at the Teen Spot, open to students in grades 7-12.
• Teen Movie Mondays, 2 p.m., with weekly double-feature “hero” movies.
• Super Food, 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30.
• Writing Club, 2 p.m. Wednesdays.
• Late Night Library Lockdown, 6 p.m. Thursday, July 2. Consent form due by 6 p.m. Monday, June 29. There are point requirements for participation. For more information contact King at the library, 792-2409.
• Free movie, 2 p.m. July 7.
• Comic Book Gems (make rings or magnets), 2 p.m. July 9. Later that evening will be a special movie night at 5 p.m.
• Teen Book Club, 2 p.m., July 10. This month’s book club pick is “Paper Towns” by John Green.
• Free movie, 3 p.m., July 10.
• Teen Spot Annual Food Fight, 5 p.m., July 10. Teens must meet the point requirement in order to participate.
• Henna, 2 p.m. on July 14. Parental consent required; must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.
• Final Party for the Great Bend Public Library’s Summer Library Program, 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 17
