GB Tribune logo

The public is invited to attend a free poverty simulation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at First Christian Church, 5230 Broadway Ave., Great Bend. This eye-opening Cost of Poverty Experience is sponsored by Barton County Resolve Poverty Core Community (formerly Circles) for people who would like to know more about the program.

Core Friends are community volunteers who share their experience, time and energy to help a Core leader and his or her family identify barriers, create solutions and reach an ultimate goal of 200% above the poverty line. For more information contact Jamie Baldwin, resource coordinator, by calling 620-282-9332 or emailing jamieb@essdack.org.
