Tickets for the Great Bend High School Hall of Fame luncheon are on sale in the Activities Office at Great Bend High School. The luncheon is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Heritage Room of the Highland Convention Center. 
The 2011 inductees include Don Halbower, former Great Bend High School Principal, and Dan McGovern, a 1960 graduate of GBHS who has served in the administrations of President Reagan and the first President Bush.
Halbower and McGovern will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a ceremony between the girls’ and boys’ basketball games with Hays that evening.  A reception will follow the games in the Jack Kilby Commons.  The public is invited.
To purchase a ticket for the luncheon, please contact the Activities Office at 793-1560. Tickets are $15 for an individual, or you may purchase a reserved table for eight for $200. The reserved table includes a donation to help support the Hall of Fame.  Tickets will be available through Feb. 17.
This will be the fourth class inducted into the GBHS Hall of Fame. The 2011 inductees will join a prestigious group of individuals which includes: 2008-Jack Kilby, John Keller, and Skip Yowell; 2009-Jack Bowman, Sean Murphy and Tim Weiser; 2010-Jenny Allford and Glenn Opie. Don Halbower and Dan McGovern will share their stories of success with the community at the luncheon.
