United Way Volunteers Frame Elementary School Winners Posters
new lgp uwckreleasepic

Every year United Way Director, Julie Bugner-Smith speaks to the 5th graders in Barton and Pawnee County about the Community Partners UWCK funds and how they can volunteer and make a difference in their community.
They are supported by their teachers to make a poster about the United Way that incorporates the 2017 Campaign theme “We need you”. Winners are chosen by a panel and then will be given to community leaders and businesses in the fall at an assembly or half-time at a high school football game.
Sarah Mauler, GBHS Senior has coordinated this project for the past three years. Volunteers from Eisenhower School Vicki McCulley, Linda Basye, and incoming GBHS Freshman Jenna Mauler and Shailey Clark also volunteered to help frame the winning posters.
