GREAT BEND — Jane Francis Hall, 74, died April 3, 2013 at River Bend Assisted Living in Great Bend.
Born May 4, 1938 in Pueblo, Colo., she was the daughter of Francis Dominic and Loretta Marie (Schmidt) Buser.
She grew up in Pueblo, Colo., and moved to Wichita to attend nurse’s training. She was a head Registered Nurse in the pediatric ward at St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita for 16 years and played the organ at the cathedral where she met Leo. After marrying Leo John Hall Jan. 31, 1971 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Wichita, she moved to Great Bend in 1971. They were married 41 years.
Mrs. Hall was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society, in Great Bend. She was a volunteer for the Bloodmobile, and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a participating business associate for the family farm. She played piano, organ, marimba and drums.
Survivors include her husband, Leo John Hall, of the home; a son, Leon Francis Hall and his wife Lea, Great Bend; a daughter, Barbara Jane Hall Grizzell and her husband Daniel, Great Bend; two brothers, Bernard Buser, Morrilton, Ark.; and Leonard Eugene Buser, North Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Gust, Shreveport, La.; and Agnes Melton, Wichita; seven grandchildren, Samuel John Hall, Emilee Anastasia Hall, Jacob Francis Hall, Kelli Jane Hall, Karen Ann Hall, Kinze Danielle Grizzell, and Kyla Marie Grizzell.
She was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Carl Hall; and two sisters, Janice Marie Buser and Mary Genevieve Buser.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m. and Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore as celebrant. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home.
Memorials are requested to Holy Family School Endowment or St. Rose Foundation for the Benefit of the Heartland Cancer Center, in care of the funeral home.
