HAYS — Louise Rohr, 99, Hays, died Friday, July 4, at the Hays Good Samaritan Society.
Born July 24, 1914 in Munjor, she was the daughter of John and Rosa (Speier) Pfannenstiel.  She married Nick Rohr on Nov. 5, 1935 in Antonino.  He died Oct. 17, 1986.  She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and St. Joseph Altar Society, St. John’s Auxiliary, and the Hays Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Maurice Rohr and wife Mary Rose and two daughters, June Koerner and Marjorie Meyers and husband Clayton, all of Hays; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters.  She is also survived by a sister, Viola Smith of Denver, Colo. and a brother, Frank Pfannenstiel of Watson, Colo.  She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Fred Koerner; two great-grandsons; a sister, Opal Bailey; and five brothers, Eugene, Al, Izzy, Raymond, and Clarence Pfannenstiel.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 until 1:45 p.m., all at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  A parish vigil service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Masses, or the charity of donor’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
