BUSHTON — Patricia Carlene Rolfs, 59, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 after a courageous battle with pancreatitis, with her husband, sons, and a host of close family at her side. She was born Oct. 7, 1954 in Ellsworth Co. to Carl and Velma Louise (Cruth) Hoelscher.
Patricia was a lifetime resident of the Bushton area. She married Scott Rolfs on Nov. 29, 1980 in Lorraine. She taught kindergarten in Hoisington before becoming a full-time farm wife and mother. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, Lorraine Women’s Missionary Fellowship, and attended the First Baptist Church of Lorraine where she was also leader of the Sparks group in Awana.
Patricia is survived by husband, Scott of Bushton; sons, Justin Lee of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Monte Louis of Bushton; father, Carl Hoelscher of Bushton; sister Margie John (Robert) of Bushton; brother, Don Hoelscher (Joy) of Bushton; as well as 14 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by mother, Velma Cruth Hoelscher and step-mothers, Helene Appel Hoelscher and Lois Biehler Hoelscher.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m., Friday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday at First Baptist Church of Lorraine with Reverend Zach Ullom officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorraine Baptist Cemetery.
