TOPEKA — Richard “Rick” Moos, 60, of Topeka entered into the next life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Olathe Health Hospice House. He was born on Dec. 11, 1956, to Richard and Laura Lea (Rebein) Moos. He married his partner of 17 years, Patrick Conner on Dec. 23, 2016.
Rick graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1975. He was blessed with so many talents. He spent many years decorating malls for Christmas all over the U.S. He had a very creative mind and was a florist and played organ at church. His natural ability of being a caregiver led him into the nursing field 17 years ago. He was the director of nursing at Legend at Capital Ridge in Topeka.
Survivors include brothers, Nick Moos (Penny) of Bonner Springs, Ron Moos (Karen) of Kanopolis Lake, and Don Moos (Robin) of Ellinwood; and sister Debbie Ringering (Richard) of Plano, Texas. He has four nephews and two nieces and eight great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother Danny; and his spouse.
An internment will take place at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Olathe Health Hospice House, 15310 S. Marion St., Olathe, KS 66061 or The Humane Society of Topeka.
