To the editor,
Our class had a lot of fun at the Barton County Ag Day Koelsch Farm on Sept. 7! We loved the petting zoo that the high school students helped with. It had chickens; Diesel the cow; horses; Sammy the dog; a pig; and Kosmos, Jojo, and Q-tip the alpacas. There were demonstrations about being a cowboy, drones, chemicals, crops, machinery, bee-keeping, soil coverings, careers in agriculture, and veterinary medicine. We got to go for a hay bale ride! For lunch, we had hamburgers, fruit, milk, carrots, and chips. It was amazing! The bus ride was super nice, cool, and comfy. It took a lot of people to make Ag Day happen, and we want to thank them all!
