Surviving Suicide Foundation seeks community support

To the editor:

My name is Miai Lewis, and I am writing on behalf of Surviving Suicide Foundation. This foundation believes we all can help with defeating suicide; also, to do away with the stigma that trails mental Health issues.

Our mission is to provide a mass of resources and help for communities.

At Surviving Suicide Foundation, we are currently working on a project where we are in need of funding in hopes of teaming with other outreach programs affiliated with self care and prevention for those at risk. The upkeep of online sites as well as Wi-Fi website cost to keep resources fresh and abundant.

Funds will help ...

- Flyers and brochures, educational events,

- Community background and support.

- Allow what is needed/distractions when a person feels separated from the world because of a loss.

- A more peer-based board to discuss outcomes and risk factors.

- Remembrance/Anniversary help (experience in ways to make these “difficult occasions” close as possible to normal ...)

This project funding is for Awareness and Prevention.

In order to make a difference, we rely on the support of generous individuals and businesses in our community. We would be most grateful if you would consider providing. We would accept a freewill cash donation or services if helpful. Gifts of gift cards, space (storage, or start-up) buildings, appliances – anything helps to our organization. Your support is critical to the completion of our latest project, and we will gladly keep you updated regarding our progress should you wish.

Please contact me at 402-831-1165 or miailewis8@gmail.com if you are able to support our efforts to make a difference in the community. Email miailewisB@gmail.com or mail checks to Surviving Suicide Foundation, 1411 Wilson, Great Bend, KS, 67530.

Thank you so much for your kind consideration of our request, and we hope to hear from you soon.
