HOISINGTON – Hoisington tailback Wyatt Pedigo scored four touchdowns and rushed for 248 yards to spark the Cardinals past Norton 49-27 in Friday’s 3A, District 8 showdown. Pedigo has rushed for 1,775 yards and scored 26 rushing touchdowns. The Cardinals outscored Norton 35-13 in the second half.
The Cardinals (6-2, 4-1 District) earns a 2A home playoff game against Sterling (3-5) Oct. 26.
Pedigo scored on touchdown runs of 1, 9, 39 and 60 yards to lead a 404-yard ground game. Standout Xavier Robinson contributed a 43-yard rushing touchdown and a 75-yard touchdown pass from Derek Boxberger. Joshua Ball added a 32-yard rushing touchdown for the Cardinals’ final score. Pedigo and Ball scored clinching touchdowns after Norton moves within 35-27.
Norton quarterback Kade Melvin scored two rushing touchdowns and completed a 63-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Lively. He hooked up with Judson Wiltfong on a 60-yard touchdown after a pitchout from receiver Ryan Shrum.

INGALLS – Otis-Bison quarterback Anton Foust completed three touchdown passes and rushed for a score as the Cougars rolled past Ingalls 56-6 in Eight-Man 2, District 8. The Cougars (6-1-1, 5-0 District) plays Pretty Prairie (3-5) Thursday, Oct. 25 in the Eight-Man 2 playoffs.
Maitland Wiltse caught 5- and 33-yard scoring strikes and Bevan Gradig caught a 10-yard touchdown pass. Anton Foust, Logan Thille and Seth Hoopingarner scored rushing touchdowns. Bevan Gradig led the defense with 10 tackles, 41/2 for losses.

MACKSVILLE — Central Plains quarterback Myles Menges continues to excel with three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown as the Oilers rolled past Macksville 46-0 in Eight-Man 1, District 5. The No. 1 ranked Oilers (8-0) shut down the Mustangs to 17 yards and earned their sixth consecutive shutout. The Oilers have outscored the last six teams 318-0.
Grant Heldstab (15 yards), Jerred Bieberle (8 yards) and Brett Liebl (39 yards) caught touchdown passes. Lawson Oeser added two touchdown runs. The Oilers rushed for 99 yards and added 115 yards passing.
Menges intercepted a pass by Kody Mead. Heldstab garnered 11 tackles. Liebl had eight tackles. Bieberle had two tackles for losses.
The Oilers play South Gray (3-5) Thursday in the Eight-Man I playoffs and Macksville (4-4) travels to Ness City (6-2) Friday after losing 50-28 in their first meeting.

Stafford quarterback Justice Manning added 127 yards rushing and three scores. Tai Hildebrand added two rushing touchdowns. The Trojans rushed for 458 yards.
Ryan Sammons led the defense with two interceptions. Caleb Hildebrand garnered 15 tackles and Tai Hildebrand had nine tackles.
Stafford (6-2) plays South Haven (4-4) at home Thursday in the Eight-Man 1 football playoffs. The Trojans have lost five playoff games in school historu.

ELLINWOOD – Cimarron tailback Tate Seabolt scored three touchdowns and rushed for 263 yards as the Bluejays rolled past Ellinwood 56-0 in 2A, District 7. Ellinwood was shut out for the third time after prior shutouts against LaCrosse and Lakin.
Ellinwood (3-5, 1-4 District) plays at Minneapolis next week. District champion Cimarron (7-1; 5-0) plays Ellsworth.
Seabolt scored on touchdown runs of 7, 17 and 27 yards. Cimarron rushed for 452 yards and gained 563 yards. Quarterback Dylan Harrison scored two touchdowns on 11- and 38-yards and completed a touchdown pass to Oscar Macias. Cimarron’s Justin Fugitt intercepted a pass and Oscar Macias and Tanner Dewey recovered fumbles.
