CENTRAL PLAINS 62, LA CROSSE 45 — Camden Stiles converted six 3-pointers and scored 24 points as the Central Plains boys stayed unbeaten in league play with a 62-45 Central Prairie League victory over La Crosse Thursday.
Brodie Crites scored 18 points and Rylan Siemsen added 14 points for CPL leader Central Plains (13-1, 5-0 CPL). The Oilers play Little River in Saturday's championship in the St. John Midwinter Classic.
La Crosse's Christian Rush scored 21 points and Lee Holopirek added 10 points.

CENTRAL PLAINS GIRLS 35, LA CROSSE 31 —Aevyn Siemsen and Izzy Hurley each scored three points in the home stretch as the Central Plains girls survived La Crosse's upset bid 35-31 in Thursday's Central Prairie League basketball showdown.
Both teams worked for quality shots and played patiently in the slow-paced game dominated by ball control.
La Crosse (6-8, 3-3 CPL) was led by Madison Morgan with eight points.
