Bieberle, Owen picked for Shrine Bowl

HAYS — Layne Bieberle of Central Plains High School and Hoisington High lineman Seth Owen have been selected to the West team for the 2015 Shrime Bowl. Bieberle was a record-setting receiver for Central Plains, the Eight-Man Division I state champion.
Bieberle caught 53 passes for 1,199 yards and 27 touchdowns. He scored 34 touchdowns with two rushing, two on punt returns and three in interceptions.
Owen was a first-team all-league lineman for Hoisington, a Class 3A playoff qualifier and co-league champion in the Central Kansas League West Division.
The 2015 Shrine Bowl is scheduled July 25 at Fort Hays State University.
