On Saturday, the Great Bend High School volleyball invitational will be held at Panther Fieldhouse.
Besides the host Lady Panthers, the likes of Salina Central, Phillipsburg, Hays, Wichita Northwest, Pratt and St. John will be taking part in the invite. There is a round-robin format for the seven teams.
Great Bend start things off at 8 a.m., taking on Central. It also plays Western Athletic Conference rival Hays at 10 and Wichita Northwest at 11.
After taking a two-hour break, the Lady Panthers return to the court at 2 p.m. to play Phillipsburg. GBHS takes on area team St. John at 3, and then wraps up play at 6 against Pratt.
All matches will be played best-of-three, with the third set to 15 to speed up the courts.

Noon — West court: Hays vs. Pratt; East court: St. John vs. Phillipsburg
1 p.m. — West court: Wichita NW vs. Hays; East court: Central vs. Pratt
2 — West court: Great Bend vs. Phillipsburg; East court: Hays vs. Central
3 — West court: Great Bend vs. St. John; East court: Wichita NW vs. Central
4 — West court: Phillipsburg vs. Wichita NW; East court: St. John vs. Pratt
5 — West court: St. John vs. Wichita NW; East court: Pratt vs. Phillipsburg
6 — West court: Great Bend vs. Pratt
