Shrine Bowl set for Hays on Saturday

HAYS — The 38th Annual Kansas Shrine Bowl football game is set for Saturday at Lewis Field Stadium on the Fort Hays State University campus.
The prestigous all-star game — featuring the East vs. West — showcases some of the top graduated high school seniors from across the state.
Hutchinson Trinity’s Derek Racette and Great Bend’s Greg Hildebrand  are the quarterbacks for the West squad, which is coached by Rick Wheeler of Class 6A state-champion Wichita Heights.
There are four quarterbacks in the East camp, including Dylan Perry of Lawrence Free State, Mitch Buhler of Rossville, Jordan Elliott of Pittsburg and Brandon Gentz of Emporia.
The East’s head coach is Centralia’s Larry Glatezak.
